Puppies
If you want to buy a Sontîn Border Collie puppy please take your time and read the whole site.
Our puppies are going excellent as highly competitive sport dogs, working ranch dogs, therapy dogs etc. Some puppies are better suited for specific goals, we work with you to assist in selecting the puppy that will be the best match for you and your plans.
The Puppies are born inside the house, with 5-6 weeks the puppies will be able to go outside in the puppy garden. The Puppies will be used to water, cats, sheep’s, duck’s, dogs, people/children, car drives and every new sounds or underground’s.
It is possible to visit the puppies at the age of 5/6 weeks. The Puppies can get to their new owner at 9-12 weeks of age (depends on the puppy) with pedigree, chip, vaccine, starter kit, worm, contract. For breeding purposes, I give a puppy by individual contract only to responsible breeding, registered in the kennel club, with health tests and pedigrees, which I check.
If the puppy needs to be shipped to another country or continent please check the laws regarding age ect beforehand.
If the puppy needs to stay longer cause of the laws in your country, I will start of course with the needed socializing.
Colors
I’m breeding dogs for structure, character, work presence…! In border collies they’re a lot of different colorings! I also are breeding rare colored border collies like lilac, slate, lilac merle ect.
People have been known to be a bit disparaging of border collies who don't conform to their idea of what a border collie should look like, black and white.
They believe that selecting for colour is not good for the breed, and I absolutely agree!!!
But when dogs are bred out of lines with dogs of great working ability’s, healthy and talented lines, and a special colored puppy happen to be born in such a litter, I think why not breeding with that dog too? My border collies which are special colored, are coming from the same lines like the known black and white working border collies.

(added a few things)
Let me say a few words to the person who writes an email to simply ask the price. The person who calls and after hearing a price surprisedly states “I can buy a cheaper pup elsewhere”. I also address you: the person who doesn’t care about papers because I want “just a pet.”
First of all, no dog is “just a pet.”
Behind every purebred puppy/dog is a BREEDER. I’m using capital letters to differentiate a breeder from a backyard breeder, pet factory or mill. A reputable breeder does not breed dogs without papers, that does not protect the integrity of the breed. Registration (papers) are records of lineage that document bloodline and allow one to research any possible health issues present in the lineage. When you tell a Breeder you don’t care about papers what you’re really telling them is you couldn’t care less about the health of the puppy you just want the cheapest thing you can find!
When you select to buy a puppy from a reputable and quality breeder, this breeder is responsible for the health of every pup. This breeder will skip vacations, miss sleeping, ect.
The breeder who loves what they’re doing, puts their whole heart and soul into it. Not only in puppies that are sold, but also in each client who now is a member of their extended family. This does not take into account any puppy/dog who might get sick or need extra help to thrive. Breeders worry about their babies after they leave and will take one back without question. Breeders also follow the new live and successes of their puppies and stand up for every puppy they’ve sold.
A breeder will get their hands dirty, often covered in everything accompanied with birthing. Because that’s what life is about... In the middle of birth and death is life. The wheel that keeps turning. A breeder will do tests, xrays, analysis, emergency c sections, vaccinations, register litters, research pedigrees, deworm, as well as microchip their puppies and get them evaluated by specialists.
A breeder chooses the people lucky enough to have one of their puppies, chooses who they sell to because they are not making money off the sale. There is no compensation that can offset the investment a Breeder has made so they need to be confident it’s the right fit... A Breeder will have different criteria for those wanting to carry on their bloodline, why? Because breeding is not a responsibility to ever be taken lightly, it’s a lifestyle choice set aside for ONLY the few devoted people willing to sacrifice. So if someone wants to carry on the breeders bloodline, the puppies will only go to reputable BREEDERS.
Because a dog is never “just a pet” it’s the Breeder’s legacy, a little boy’s/girl’s best friend/protector, an person’s therapy, an important member of the family, someone’s whole world!
